which we require:
The wood is softwood or white wood
Species name are Spruce, Pine and Fir
Quality:
The quality which we is of 6th Grade or
7th Grade or Saw falling Grade i.e. S/F
grade.
The timber should not have heavy wanes (wanes are acceptable but not more than
5%). The timber should be without loosen knots and should not be rotten. In S4S
hit n miss is also acceptable. In rough sawn fresh cut , anti stain treated
timber is also acceptable.
Sizes:
S4S
All sizes are acceptable in our market but the sizes in S4S having thickness of
19mm to 45mm in S4S have heavy demand.
The lengths should be 2.1meter and up.
Mostly saw millers quote their rates on nominal size i.e. (the sizes which they
have before making it S4S) but we need price quotes at actual sizes.
Rough Sawn
In rough sawn big dimension like 75mm &
up x 200mm & up x 2.1 meter & up are
preferable. Demand:
The demand of this timber in our market
is around 100 to 200 40ft containers per
month both in rough sawn and S4S timber.
