1.Propulsion Gear û Two (2) sets
Propeller Shaft : Solid forged steel, and (intermediate and tail shaft) connected at the forward end to the reverse reduction gear output shaft by a flanged coupling. The shafting system shall be designed so that no serious peak of torsional vibration shall occur within the normal operating range of the main engine.
Stern Tube :Mild steel tube, machined.
Seals :Standard stuffing box, builder made, material from Universal Packing Co. (or equal)
Bearings : Cutless
Plummer Blocks : Four (4) sets oil bath, split babbit bearing
Cooling : Lub Oil cooled
Propellers : Four blade, fixed pitch, manganese bronze operating in a thrust nozzle
Rudders : Spade type mild steel double plated construction with forged steel stock
Control System : Remote control in wheelhouse, local control at machinery
Total Required: 8 shipsets. |
