NdFeB magnets were first developed in the 1980's, and NdFeB isstill the strongest magnetic material available. These excellentmagnetic characteristics, such as their strength and wide range ofapplications, make NdFeB magnets the fastest growing market segment, asNdFeB magnets replace the traditional Ferrite, AlNiCo and SmCo magnets.
While Neodymium Iron Boron Magnets havethe highest magnetic field strength, they are inferior to samariumcobalt in resistance to oxidation and temperature. The use ofprotective surface treatments such as gold, nickel, zinc and tinplating and epoxy resin coating can provide protection where required.
