| Hurco Companies, Inc., of Indiana and Tycoons Group Engineering Co., Inc., of Taiwan founded Hurco Automation Limited (HAL) in November 1996. The core engineering teams came from the industrial controls sector of the Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan. Through the visualization of a superior energy of the PC industry in Taiwan, HAL focus on developing complete hardware and software platforms for both controls and monitors. Our WINPC32 universal programmable controls and Leader Series industrial network products are examples of this. We also specialize in providing Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) for PC based industrial grade products. In four years, HAL has proudly invented a universal "Windows based" control software and hardware and established the manufacturing capabilities for these industrial grade products. This only enhances the reliability and the versatility of our products. Our products are applicable on a variety of precision machines and production equipment. Our production has grown from less than one million (U.S. Dollars) during the first year to approximately ten million this year. Hurco Automation Limited's growth strategy is to properly align itself with major industrial partners with whom it will expand its marketing and sales organization into all countries We are primarily a design and manufacturing partner.
